Only took about 20 emails to switch registrar and server. Easy!

Buying something new is always easy. Getting it to work is another matter.

Permanent number

I pay about $100 a year for a permanent email address (OK, I receive some interesting magazines too for this price). What would I pay for a permanent phone number? Which country would it be in? How would I receive calls in a reliable manner (without paying 1$/min for international call-forwarding to my mobile phone, or hurrying from WiFi spot to WiFi spot with my laptop running)?

How about international roaming flat-rate always-on dollar-a-day data connectivity for my phone?

VoIP

Can't belive how big this is now... how many opportunities there are. When did this all happen? Two years ago, VoIP sounded like more tech hype - but now it's just here.

I'm a SkypeOut user now. I want to make some of this stuff too...
